The Excitement of a New Story

Happy Tuesday, folks!
I thought I would share some details about the characters Penny Pearl and Colt Davenport from Penny Pearl Mysteries Mayhem in a Small Town and what you can expect. The series is set in the eighties and introduces a zany cast of characters full of charm and wit with a dose of humor to the storyline.
Penny, the top investigative journalist for the Clover Chronicle, is searching for the next big story to write. When her boss, Merle, the lead editor for the paper finally hands her the story of a lifetime, the disappearance of five college students, Penny decides to run with it. As she leaves the office in a rush to get home, she quickly realizes she left the folder that Merle handed her behind. So, she makes a late night run back to the office to grab it and then back home to work.
That's when she unexpectedly meets the new town detective, Colt Davenport who thinks she is responsible for setting fire to the James Dee Hopkins Public Library and vandalizing several businesses on Main Street. After all, it is the middle of the night and both just happened to be at the same place at the wrong time, or so they thought.
While Penny searches in hopes of solving the case of the missing girls, she and Colt piece together the clues to solve the recent arson and vandalism cases. What ends up being a bad first impression for both ends up working out for each of them. As the duo work together, they realize their is a mutual attraction between them. Penny and Colt soon realize that vandalism and arson is the least of their worries as the pair begin to unravel the crimes from a story that proves to be more dangerous than either expected.
Until next time, friends,
Pepper Anne

Thanks for popping in! My name is Pepper Anne and I love solving mysteries, exposing corruption, and getting to the bottom of a good story.

When I'm not penning a true crime book, I'm writing a fictional one inspired by actual events with mystery, suspense, thrilling moments and a little bit of humor.

I'm going to talk about my writing journey, the books I've written and am working on and gabbing about other things, too. Let's get started!
