Happy Holidays!

I hope you all are enjoying the holidays and able to spend them with the ones nearest and dearest to you. I am enjoying spending time with friends and family as we share laughs and memories of Christmas' past and eat great food.
One tradition that never changes among my loved ones are the homemade goodies and treats that we all make for one another. We prepare them and package them up to hand out, and they are just as fun to give as they are to receive! Do you have a favorite treat that you are known for making, or one that is requested by others of you to make during the holiday season? The one my household is most known for making are homemade cinnamon rolls, and homemade rolls. Each one is a favorite and most requested!
However you celebrate the holidays, if you do, I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Holiday Season, a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and a Happy New Year!

The Excitement of a New Story

Happy Tuesday, folks!
I thought I would share some details about the characters Penny Pearl and Colt Davenport from Penny Pearl Mysteries Mayhem in a Small Town and what you can expect. The series is set in the eighties and introduces a zany cast of characters full of charm and wit with a dose of humor to the storyline.
Penny, the top investigative journalist for the Clover Chronicle, is searching for the next big story to write. When her boss, Merle, the lead editor for the paper finally hands her the story of a lifetime, the disappearance of five college students, Penny decides to run with it. As she leaves the office in a rush to get home, she quickly realizes she left the folder that Merle handed her behind. So, she makes a late night run back to the office to grab it and then back home to work.
That's when she unexpectedly meets the new town detective, Colt Davenport who thinks she is responsible for setting fire to the James Dee Hopkins Public Library and vandalizing several businesses on Main Street. After all, it is the middle of the night and both just happened to be at the same place at the wrong time, or so they thought.
While Penny searches in hopes of solving the case of the missing girls, she and Colt piece together the clues to solve the recent arson and vandalism cases. What ends up being a bad first impression for both ends up working out for each of them. As the duo work together, they realize their is a mutual attraction between them. Penny and Colt soon realize that vandalism and arson is the least of their worries as the pair begin to unravel the crimes from a story that proves to be more dangerous than either expected.
Until next time, friends,
Pepper Anne

Hey Everybody,
I'm so glad you're here! This is where I'll post about books I've written and ones I'm currently working on. I'll share behind the scenes info about my research, the parts of the stories both fiction and nonfiction that were left out of the books and why, and more. If you'd like to chime in and ask a question or comment about a topic, or have any ideas about a story you'd like to know more about, feel free to comment below. If you're a bit shy about doing so, feel free to drop me a line via email at [email protected].
A quick tidbit about The Notorious Texas Swindler that you might not have known. I didn't actually come up with the title of the book until I was 3/4 of the way through writing it!
Penny Pearl Mysteries Mayhem in a Small Town was originally supposed to be a cozy mystery, but after changing the storyline and adding more to it, it is now a crime thriller murder mystery! Yep, that's right, I originally thought I would write a mystery only then it grew from there. Before I knew it, I realized, crime thrillers laced with mystery and murder are better blended in the pages of a story!
Alright, that's all for now. I will post again soon, so be sure to check back and leave a comment if you have anything to add.
Until next time,
Pepper Anne

    Pepper Anne

Thanks for popping in! My name is Pepper Anne and I love solving mysteries, exposing corruption, and getting to the bottom of a good story.

When I'm not penning a true crime book, I'm writing a fictional one inspired by actual events with mystery, suspense, thrilling moments and a little bit of humor.

I'm going to talk about my writing journey, the books I've written and am working on and gabbing about other things, too. Let's get started!
