I have a collection of elephants displayed throughout my house. I love those gentle giants, with their large trunks and oversized ears. They are some of the softest hearted beings in the world. I was admiring a set of porcelain elephants that belonged to my grandma that had been given to me after she passed. They were gifted to her by one of her sisters, my great aunt, Doris who I dearly miss. I cherish those little elephants, because I’m reminded of those two ladies and what remarkable women they were. Each one was strong and independent in her own right and I giggle each time I think of them, because behind every memory I have, I remember a hearty laugh attached to each one.
