Are you a fan of Ernest Hemingway? If so, what book or books by him do you tell others about if they’re looking for something by him to read?

One of my favorite reads is a book of poems by an author known as Atticus. He is a very talented writer and if you read one of his books, you’ll see why. The one that I have is titled, Love Her Wild. He has written several books, so don’t worry if you’re not sure which one to get, because anything by him will be great, and I have a feeling he’ll become one of your favorites too!
Do you have a certain time of day that you prefer to sit down and write? Or are you a night owl and belt it all out during the evening hours while burning the midnight oil? I don’t know that I have a particular time in mind, but I seem to be most productive during the nighttime with my writing, because that’s when it seems to be the most quiet for me.
How do you like your book? Do you prefer to see it acted out on the big screen by well known actors and actresses, or would you rather only read it on the pages of a book itself?
I’ve heard most people say that once a book is made into a movie, they believe the book is better than the movie itself and I have to agree. It’s always nice to see when a well written story has gained the attention of a famous movie maker who wants to see it up on the big screen, but as a writer myself, the books are just better. I enjoy walking on my treadmill and listening to a book on audible. I notice, for me, it’s easier to sail through a book if I’m listening to it on audible, instead of sitting down reading it. I’m able to listen to it while working around the house or in my car running errands. Some people prefer to read a book on their own instead of listening to the narrated version, but I don’t have a preference.
What do you prefer to do: Read an ebook Read a physical copy Listen to an audio book I love to read and that’s a given, but I try to rotate the genres of the books that I read. I try to make every other book either spiritual or inspirational, because I enjoy uplifting stories. Writing in the true crime genre can sometimes be difficult for me and I enjoy those uplifting and inspirational stories.
What are your favorite books to read? I have so many books on my TBR list, and like everybody else, I keep adding more to it.
The next big book I want to read is my second book. No, I haven’t written it yet and I haven’t started it, but I do have a good outline for it and a good idea of where I’m going with it. It’ll be a true crime read for sure. How many books do you have on your TBR list? I have a ton of books on my bookshelf that are just waiting to be read, and one of them is The Fire By Night, a novel by Teresa Messineo. It looks like it'll be a great read. I know it has to be, or I wouldn’t have put it in my basket at the bookstore, so this will be my next one that I’ll dive into.
What are you reading? How many books do you read at one time?
Some read just one, and others have several books going at one time. I’m the latter! I have to admit, sometimes I have more going at one time than I care to admit and I’m not sure where I got that from, but there it is! I was looking at my bookshelves today and I came across 2 of my favorite books; Forty Autumns by Nina Willner and Rocks by Joe Perry.
If you haven’t read either one, I highly recommend them. Forty Autumns is about a family that was separated during the Cold War and it tells all the hardships that they and others endured. This was an unforgettable story, and one I'll definitely read again. Rocks, by Joe Perry, was another great read. I enjoyed the stories that Joe shared during his career and the friendships with Aerosmith and the other band members. While reading this one I felt like I was listening to a friend who was sharing his story. Do you have a favorite book? |
